March into the Mines (of Minecraft) with new features, rewards, and more!

The #MedalMovie winners have been announced!

We asked you to submit your best #MedalMovie scene made using Minecraft and Medal for a chance to win a treasure trove of Minecraft-themed prizes, and ya’ll popped off. We genuinely couldn’t believe how good some of the submissions were, and many of the entries got thousands of views!

So, instead of just choosing 1 winner we increased the prize pool to award 3 WINNERS. After much staff deliberation and voting, here are the winners of the #MedalMovie contest:

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 by Shoiyta

Our entire staff got hype about how perfectly that Shoiyta recreated this hilarious scene from Guardians of the Galaxy 3, especially Nebula's arms struggling to open the door. We'd seriously watch the entire movie like this.

Interstellar by ProfessorChickon

While "popularity" wasn't a consideration, this clip was submitted quite early in the contest and got 22k+ views, very likely helping to inspire other entries (or scare them off, we're not sure). Regardless, we loved how they recreated a truly beautiful cinematic scene, especially the work put into that giant wave. And all with chicken heads, considering the creator's name.

Across the Spiderverse by Spears_

This entry came later than most, but we reviewed them all nonetheless: another amazing shot-for-shot recreation from a movie whose style is quite hard to replicate. And honestly...Miles' facial expression at 1:04 may have sealed the deal.
