🧠 Sharper settings, smoother playback, and smarter auto clips

🔌 Clearer auto-clip requirements

We've updated the auto-clipping settings to make it much clearer if a certain game needs a plug-in for auto clipping to function — no more wondering why it isn’t working.

🎛️ Updated auto-clip settings

The auto-clip interface has been refreshed for a faster, smoother experience:

• Search is now way more responsive
• It’s easier to see which plug-ins are installed or needed at a glance

🎥 Clip player & editor upgrades

• Scrolling through a clip is more reactive and responsive than before
• Fixed a timeline lag issue in the full session recorder
• Better playback support for .mkv clips (if older clips are still struggling, hit up support)

🪲 Smashed a couple other bugs

• Fixed a weird issue where the "Copy to clipboard" notification would get too excited and overflow
• Chromium updated to v136 (probably nothing noticeable, but still nice to have)

🫟 Squashed an auto-upload bug

Fixed an issue where the auto-upload setting wouldn’t work correctly in certain weird situations. No more ghost uploads! 👻

💬 Deleted comment threads are now visible

Previously if you deleted a comment, the whole reply thread of the comment would also vanish. Now when you nuke the top comment in a thread, you'll still see the rest of the discussion.

✨ The settings menu got a glow-up

We’ve added a ton of new features and options over the years — which progressively made the settings screen a bit...much. We’ve reworked the UI so you can more easily find the settings you want:

• Settings are now sorted into cleaner categories
• Some tabs got renamed or moved around for clarity

Whether you’re changing hotkeys or just poking around — it should be way easier to find what you need now.

💬 Drop bangers in the comments

You can now comment on clips using screenshots, stickers, GIFs...or even use your own clips. We're certainly going to have fun with this one.

📋 Copy & paste with confidence

Now, when you copy a clip link from your library, clip preview, or profile, you'll see a handy notification to let you know that you did, in fact, copy the link. No more doubts!

🖼️ The clip preview just got an upgrade

When viewing your own albums, the clip preview now includes navigation (just like in your library). Enjoy scrolling through your albums with reckless abandon.

🧱 Minecraft server search

You can now search for Minecraft servers directly in the app. Whether you're looking for a specific SMP or that chaotic modded server, just type, search, and enjoy.

We've polished up profiles and eradicated a few bugs to make your Medal experience even smoother.

Smarter profile info: When you hover over profiles, you'll now see achievements and current game status, so friends can see how deep in the 'blox you really are. Need to hide that Hello Kitty Island Adventure marathon? You can always turn it off if you prefer: Settings > Privacy & Security > Game Status

We just dropped a banger of a feature: Comment Permissions. Now you can lock your comment section down like Fort Knox, if you prefer:

- Closed: No one comments. Silence.  Peace. Zen.
- Followers Only: Only your loyal squad gets to drop reactions.
- Following Only: You choose who gets in. VIP vibes.

🛠️ Bug Fixes & Small Improvements

- Cloud syncing albums with screenshots is now working again. Your moments are safe in the sky ☁️
- Disabled the clip trimmer & editor while uploading – no more weird glitches when you're too quick on the draw, partner 🤠

Share clips directly to Discord with Medalbot 🦾

No need to tab around or copy/paste links; we've re-launched our Discord bot to make sharing clips even easier:

• When you choose to share a clip directly to Discord, Medalbot will post it for you!
• Anyone with 'Manage Server' role can configure Medalbot.
• Find it in the Medal app: Settings > Medal Discord Bot.

🪲 Bug Squashing Party!

WHACK 🩴
Fixed those pesky missing thumbnails in your library - your clips are no longer playing hide and seek with their preview images! Video playback is back to normal too.

BAM 👟
Screenshots were trying to live their dream as videos in some players... we've helped them accept their fate as still images.

SPLAT🦶
Fixed a quirky issue where downloading a screenshot might give you a surprise file type. Your screenshots will no longer be having an identity crisis when they reach your hard drive!

Lastly, we've updated the quest system to work better, so look forward to some exciting new quests very soon.

We've got to go clean our shoes now... 🧼
