Updates to Medal Premium

Earlier this year, we ran some surveys on our current Medal Premium offering. If you participated in one of these, thanks. We’re excited to share some updates to Medal Premium and why they are changing, and our goal is to continue to pack our sub with tons of value across the editor, cloud storage, and more. 

What is New In Medal Premium? 

Just to say it out loud first, not the price! Premium stays at $9.99 or $7.99 a month if you subscribe annually. If you’re already a Premium subscriber, you don’t need to do anything regarding the updates below; your sub upgrades automatically. 

Editing

Clip Upload Limits

Clip upload limits are moving from 30 minutes to unlimited. You want to upload that long roguelite run? Go for it. 

Upload Quality

Instead of downscaling to 1440p / 120 FPS, we are now supporting uploads in full original quality. If you were recording in 4K, you’ll get 4K. 

Auto-Gen Subtitles

This is brand new. Now in the editor, you’ll have unlimited access to our auto-generated subtitles feature. Instantly get subtitles from the audio in your clips and cleanly parse spoken audio from other tracks. You can group into single words or sentences; it’s up to you.

Utility and Storage

Expiring Link Limits

Staying the same. Your links still never expire. 

Cloud Storage

We now support backing up your full library to the cloud (and you’ll be able to resume it in the case it is interrupted). We've also made improvements to local storage while editing (cloud trimming) and freeing up space.

Watermarks

Staying the same. Your watermarks are still removable.

Customization

Badges

Medal Premium Badge is getting a level up. It will now literally level up. Expect your badge to tech up the longer you are subscribed.

Custom Hotkey Sounds

Staying the same. These remain available. 

GIF Profile Banners and Avatars

Staying the same. Upload GIFs to your profile banner or avatar for extra flair. 

Profile Background

As a premium subscriber, you’ll now get a subscribers-only Medal background that you can equip on your profile. You can fully customize the colors!

Ads

Staying the same. You are still guaranteed an ad-free experience¹.
