How to record PC Games Using Medal

How to Record PC Games Using Medal
Sometimes, crazy things happen in game that you need to save and/or share:
- You goofed big time (and had the gang dying of laughter)
- Mike made a weird sound (which needs to be made into a soundboard button immediately)
- You did something unbelievable (and no one is going to believe you without proof)
- The gang wants to memorialize the time that Stu was gloating about his KDA (right as he got domed crossing mid)
Luckily, you don’t need to have been streaming or already recording your gameplay to capture such a moment.
You can just take a quick video of what just happened in the last minute or so.
Here’s an easy and fast way to record your PC games:
Step 1:
Download Medal.tv on your desktop: it’s lightweight, records audio from both desktop (e.g. Discord) and in-game, and makes capturing, editing, and sharing gaming clips super easy.
Step 2:
Once installed, Press F8 in game to record a clip of anything that just happened.
- You can choose to record the past 15 seconds, or even the past 2 minutes
- In addition to this “retroactive” recording, you can alternatively start or stop a Full Session Recording

Step 3:
(optional) Add filters, text, gifs, music, sound effects, and more. You can come back to your clip library at any time and add more pizzaz (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Step 4:
Share the link with your friends on Discord, social, or wherever else you share links (Neopets neomail? Meet me at the giant omelette??)

It really is that simple to capture your silly gaming moments on PC. So ping the crew and have some fun together!
