1. Download and install Medal. Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions for logging in, settings, clip length, and more.
2. Customize hotkeys (optional)
Hotkeys allow you to start and stop recordings or create clips without leaving the game. By default, F8 to take a clip of something that just happened, but you can also configure full session recording, long press to start recording, etc.
To access hotkey settings: In the settings menu, click on "Clips & Recording". Ensure these keys don't conflict with in-game controls.
3. Launch Minecraft and have fun
- Open Minecraft: Launch the game as you normally would.
- To create clips: Something cool just happen? Press F8 to save the last few seconds or minutes of gameplay.
- To record: Begin recording your gameplay ahead of time with your "start recording" hotkey. Medal will run in the background, capturing your session.
3. Edit and share
After recording, you can edit and share your clips in Medal:
- Access Your Clips: In the Medal.tv app, go to the "Library" to view your recorded clips.
- Edit Clips: Use the built-in editor to trim, add captions, or apply effects to your clips.
